Our St. Michael statues include wonderful depictions this Saint.  Saint Michael the Archangel has been a great protector and his popularity among Catholics has been steady throughout time.  In the book of Revelation in the New Testament, he leads God’s armies against Satan’s forces, and during the war in heaven he defeats Satan.  Therefore, most artwork of him is shown with him defeating Satan.  Also, in the Epistle of St. Jude, he is specifically referred to as an “archangel”
